Please note: Our Vol. I deadline was October 31. We are now accepting submissions for Vol. II (no deadline as yet), and may draw from this submission pool for the first volume if there are gaps that need to be filled.

Please send copies of your work only – no originals!

  1. Cover letter: Please include a cover letter or email that includes your name, mailing address, email address, website (if applicable), and phone number.

    Also include the title of your submission and a statement indicating whether it has been published or submitted for consideration elsewhere.

    It would be helpful if you would also include a brief (150- word or less) biographical statement (a short description of your related experience, qualifications, publications, etc.) and a separate 50-word statement about your submission, noting especially its spiritual relevance or inspiration.

    Note: even if you wish to publish your submission under a pen name or anonymously, please include your legal name on your cover letter (we promise not to print it).

  2. Release Form: Please mail or fax a copy of our Release Form with your signature. Submissions cannot be considered for publication without this form.

  3. Additional information (optional): Include any supporting materials you feel would be helpful or informative (e.g., reviews, articles about your work, awards, grants or other honors, etc.).
  4. Important: Please read our guidelines for submitting written pieces or submitting art and photographs before you send your work to us.
  5. Notification of receipt of submission: For submissions sent via email, a notification of receipt reply will be sent to you, usually within eight to twelve weeks.

    For submissions sent by mail, you have three options to verify receipt of your submission:
  6. 1) include an email address for a notification of receipt reply,
    2) include a separate self-addressed stamped envelope (SASE) or postcard, or
    3) use a verifiable postal service (i.e. certified mail or a shipping service with tracking capability).
  7. Notification of acceptance: Our selection process is twofold: an initial screening, then an in-depth review by our Selection Committee. For the initial screening, please allow ample time (up to sixteen weeks) for careful consideration of your work given the volume of submissions received. The Selection Committee will make its final decision for the first volume at the end of the fall; should your work be chosen at this time we will notify you via email or mail (see #5 above). The Selection Committee’s decision is final and no correspondence will be honored concerning the outcome.

    Note: works that are not published within the first volume may be retained for future volumes.

  8. No return of submissions: Any and all materials submitted to Evolving Editions become the property of the publisher and cannot be returned.

    Please do not send originals, as Evolving Editions cannot be responsible for them or return them!
