Submission of any materials to Evolving Editions constitutes acceptance of the following Terms and Conditions, so please review them carefully.

Submissions: Submission is free. All work is submitted as speculation. All submitted materials become the property of Evolving Editions; the publisher is not responsible for storing or returning any materials.

Publishing rights: We retain the non-exclusive rights to publish all accepted works in any format, including using submitted materials on our website. All individual contributors therefore retain their copyrights and the right to submit their work for publication elsewhere and you have our permission to do so.

Payment: Contributors will receive US$50 per published submission as well as one (1) complimentary copy of the Illuminations volume in which their work appears; payment and copies will be initiated on date of publication.

Evolving Editions assumes no responsibility for solicited or unsolicited contribution materials unless otherwise agreed to in writing over the signature of the publisher or senior editor. Evolving Editions regrets that it can assume no responsibility for submissions received without adequate packaging or proper identification labels or documentation.

Evolving Editions can only respond to submission queries accompanied by a self addressed, stamped envelope/postcard or a valid email address. Every effort is made to respond to submissions in a timely manner, but receipt of a large number of submissions may delay the review period.

Evolving Editions does not automatically accept or agree to the conditions, instructions or stipulations printed on delivery memos, packing slips or related correspondence or included with email submissions. Acceptance of delivery of submissions in no way constitutes any form of agreement with the sender.

Evolving Editions cannot warrant against damage or loss while photographic, artistic, digital, written, or original materials are in transit, and neither the publisher nor its constituents can accept any responsibility for the loss, theft or damage incurred or by actions or inactions undertaken by mail services, messengers, vendors, or other parties, nor do they accept any third party or other estimates of value that may be designated for such materials.

(Please note: it is possible that delivery/mail services may only cover photographs for the replacement value of the film and processing, regardless of the amount of insurance purchased. Evolving Editions therefore recommends submissions of duplicates only.)

Evolving Editions reserves the right to edit or excerpt from written submissions and to publish our edited/excerpted version without prior approval of the author.

Your submission of any material to Evolving Editions constitutes an acceptance of our Terms and Conditions and additionally grants Evolving Editions permission to publish your material in our book and on the Evolving Editions web site.

Please be advised that Evolving Editions will respond only to email or postal inquiries; we do not respond to any phone queries.
